Chapman’s Educational Foundation

Chapman’s Educational Foundation was founded in 1786 to support young people (under the age of 25) during apprenticeships, industrial, professional, university and college training. The charity was founded originally by the Vicar of Ravenstone, Reverend Robert Chapman to provide a school and education for village children. The school that was set up is now used as the Village Hall and it is still owned by the Foundation. It is a registered charity and residents of the village can apply for funding by contacting the clerk-  H Anderson (helenhanderson@btinternet.com) for further information.
